anybody changed absorber

hi everyone.....
just wondering if anybody got changed the absorber. my ride already 4 years old
and felt it is not as comfort as the brand new one. appreciate if anybody can
share experience on this. any idea how much oem absorber cost? the standard one
should be ok since my ride is not modified one.... thanks.

where do you stay?...
lookup your area for Honda stockist...check the link here.
http://www.myteamcity.com/viewth ... &extra=page%3D1

the prices fluctuate from area to area...so, when you term absorbers, I assume the shocks only.
They are priced around $160-180 front/pcs and $125-$145 back/pcs.
Should you change, it should be in pairs.
Ensure you buy the correct shocks....because iDSI and VTEC have different shock absorbers....

Anyone know what brand is our original shock absorber? My ride is 3G vtec.
Thanks.

Thanks bro.
Just now I check with the spare part shop, they carry the orignal honda shock for city, which is OEM by summit Showa(Shwa factory in Thailand).
Seems like more than 1 OEM for our car's shock absorber.

What other choices do we have?

Hi everyone...

I'm looking for something like IMP Comfort. I hope to have more to choose from, like TEIN or other...

Mind to share some info on this?

I'm driving Honda City VTEC 2004,
Today I just changed my both of my rear absorber because my tyres got uneven wear between the tyre tread at inner side.
I just changed back to the original Honda rear absorber.
Total charges is RM370, is it reasonable?

The IMPORTANCE/SERIOUS thing is Honda Malaysia install the top absorber mounting rubber in the wrong way.
How Honda install the top mounting rubber is by facing down(like "V" shape).
The correct way is by facing up(like "n" shape").

My foreman said mostly Honda install the top mopunting rubber in the wrong way include my car.
Even same people changed to new absorber and install mounting in wrong method like Honda, they still having the noise/sound when going thru the bump/rough road.
I recommend all members should check the top mounting rubber at rear absorber.(just remove rear seat pillar carpet)

I still have my Absorbers SA at home.
Anyone up for grabs.
The absorvers is actually not bad, Slighty more stiffer.
But you can always counter it with softer springs..
